We had previously owned an early Dyson vacuum, which did have one or two design faults. However we were delighted to find that in this latest version these faults had been corrected. It is just as easy to use as advertised, with the ball making it much more manoeuvreable. It does need emptying more often but this is not a real problem.
As for delivery we couldn't fault Amazon. It was ordered at 3pm and delivered at 8am the next morning. Full marks to Amazon for delivery and price.

I think the clue should be in the title - namely the 'lightweight' part of it. I particularly chose this model as it was advertised as lightweight and easy to handle. I suffer with bad back, so am really disappointed at how hard it is to manoevre. I have no problem with its suction but just find it so hard to move around. I blame myself, however - I should have tested one in a store before purchasing on line, and also picked the smaller one which might have been better to use.

I absolutely love this dyson dc25. The suction is so powerful you can see it lift the carpet slightly when hoovering. The on-board tools are conveniently located in the handle which is a clever way to store them. When cleaning the stairs you can leave the dyson at the bottom and the hose will stretch right up to the top so there's no lifting the machine up the stairs with you (and it doesn't fall over either!). Emptying the dyson is a doddle too - one click and the bin comes away from the machine - another click and the rubbish falls straight into the rubbish bin so you don't have to touch your rubbish at all. The ball makes manouvering the machine really easy too. Its actually a pleasure to vacuum now - I can certainly see the difference in my carpets after having used this machine. If you buy this, you'll not be disappointed!

This is my first Dyson, I have mixed feelings about it

1. The suction is fantastic A1!
2. The weight of the machine is HEAVY I find and would certainly not recommend for the elderly
3. Tools tube is very awkward to use
4. The tilt mechanism is noisy and difficult to get used to

I Expect I will get used to it in time like everything else!

This is the first Dyson vacuum cleaner I have owned and I have mixed feelings about it. Without doubt, the suction is amazing and the amount of dirt is gets up puts my old Electrolux to shame. Not having to replace bags is a great bonus as well, especially as it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain replacement bags. The ball arrangement takes a bit of getting used to but once mastered does enable much more manouverability. My biggest reservation with the Dyson is the procedure one has to go through to disconnect the hose in order to fit the various attachments. Cleaners I have used in the past simply allowed the user to unclip the hose from the cleaner body and fit various brush attachments. The Dyson requires the user to extend the wand from the top of the handle, remove the handle and wand from the cleaner body, detach the wand from the flexible hose and then fit the brush accessory. Once finished with, the whole process has to be completed in reverse to operate the cleaner once more. As a piece of design, it is excellent but I can't help feeling there should be an easier way attach and detach the accessories - maybe I just need more practice.
