This scale is perfect to prevent overloading your suitcase or hand baggage, I actually tested it against an object of known weight and there was a tiny difference in the reading provided by the Digital Luggage Scale. Easy to use with simple instructions, just be aware that you are lifting and holding briefly a sizeable weight if you are maxing your suitcase baggage allowance.

Bought this on Amazon by chance after looking for suitcase locks and really pleased it came up as a buying suggestion. Just been away on a fornights holiday with wife and 2 teenage daughters - each with their own suitcase but only 20kg allowance. The scales work really well and appear to be very accurate - at least they matched the airport scales! - so the horrors of transferring stuff between suitcases or last minute extra payment for excess just did not occur and the holiday started off less stressfully than I know would otherwise have happened. The scales are very lightweight so they can be packed for return journey checks without intruding on your weight allowances. Available in Argos as well but twice the price!

Works a treat - weighs accurately and quickly. Used for our summer holidays which involved 5 suitcases and five flights - would have spent a fortune on excess baggage payments without it.

These are the best scales I've ever owned, if you hang them upside down they weigh themselves !
Seriously though they are well made, convenient and easy to use and you can weigh absolutely anything, provided the item is not over 40Kg. I particularly like the options to weigh in Imperial or Metric values, (Handy as a convertor) and the way you can set it to ignore a container's weight and just measure the contents.
Incredible value for money too.
