Works great on smaller flies, larger ones tend to be stunned rather then killed. The zap is very gratifying and the family have been out chasing flies in the garden for the sake of it. Wish we'd had this when we were on holiday in France and the campsite was infested with hornets.

Generally pleased with this product which I purchased specifically to control wasps during our garden lunches. I actually think the colours also help to deter wasps as they often scarper a lot quicker than when I used to wave my baseball cap. HOWEVER be aware that one zap will only momentarily stun a bigger insect such as a wasp and within seconds it will recover and fly off unless you are fast and stamp on it. I would have liked something with more finality! Perhaps the pro version achieves this but they don't state any power figures.

The Executioner is an apt name for this health giving piece of gear. Healthy for people who like eating food or drinks without being infected by germs which have been spread by obnoxious insects (bluebottles, flies etc.) settling on their food or utensils, and once you have carefully swung your Executioner in the insects path, not so healthy for them. A loud crack and that's one less germ infested pest to threaten your life, and every one will realise you haven't taken up tennis. DO NOT kill bees tho', they are dangerously short and very important to our food supplies. Chase them off,if you have to with a furled newspaper, the draught from that should do the trick. I ordered mine at midnight Sunday on line, and it arrived Tuesday 1p.m. so you can't wish for better than that, especially where your health is concerned.

This does a great job: 1) It does kill flies, 2) It gives a satifying zap when you get one.

Decent build quality, yet a little heavy for fast moving critters. Mosquitos and small flies are dealt with nicely, however bigger flies and wasps only go down, not out. A few extra jolts from the device take care of that though once they are stunned. Dont take on a Hornet, it will get you if your not quick enough on the follow up. Overall I dont feel I wasted money on it. The sound it makes on contact is great and it has not chewed it's way through batteries. I wish it was a little more powerful so as to instant kill Bluebottles and wasps. It wins in the war on Mozzies.
